Camping at Tims Ford State Park

Located on the shores of Tims Ford Lake, Tims Ford State Park offers numerous outdoor activities for the whole family. The 2200 acre Tennessee Sate Park activities include camping, rental cabins, boating, golfing, hiking, biking, picnicking, nature watching and more!

Tims Ford Lake Park Camping & Rental Cabins

The 2 Tims Ford Park Campgrounds have both tent and R/V campsites available. The 52 campsites feature, electricity, water, picnic tables, dumpstation, fire rings & grills. There are 2 bath houses that feature showers and restrooms. A playground is also available for the kids. The campgrounds are open year round and there is a 2 week maximum stay. There are 20 Cabins available for rent at Tims Ford State Park. The cabins are all 2 bedroom units with 2 double beds. Cabins feature linens, utensils, appliances, TV, fireplace, and outdoor grill. For Cabin Rates and Reservations (931) 962-1183 or (800) 471-5295.

For the more adventurous camper, tent camping is allowed at any of the six islands and the Turkey Creek area. These forms of camping require a permit which is available from the park office.

Marina

The Lake View Marina is located within the park providing easy access to the lake for boaters and fishermen. If you need to rent a boat, the marina features a large rental fleet of pontoon boats, fishing boats, jet skis, canoes and more. Fishing

Tims Ford Lake provides excellent fishing opportunities for various species of fish from striped bass to bluegill. Fishing is permitted from the banks of the lake through-out the park.

Biking and Hiking

There are miles of Biking and Hiking trails to explore at Tims Ford State Park. The approximately 7 miles of paved trails that connect different areas of the park are available for both hiking and biking. For mountain bikers and hikers the park offers 22 miles of unpaved trails. The hiking and biking trails are a great way to get some exercise and view the beauty of the Tims Ford Lake Park.

Golf

If golf is your game, the State Park is home to Bear Trace Golf Course which is an award winning Jack Nicklaus designed golf course. The 18 hole golf course is a 6,764 yard course that is part of the Tennessee Golf Trail. For Tee Times contact: 888-558-2327.
